Yusuf Arayici

About

Yusuf Arayici is a professor in the Built Environment, served as Deputy Head of Department and Head of Apprenticeship Programmes in Architecture and Built Environment at Northumbria University. With a research career spanning over two decades, his expertise includes Building Information Modelling (BIM), process improvement, energy management, and sustainability. He has successfully led major research initiatives totalling £10 million in funding, supervised 16 PhD candidates and numerous MSc students, and authored over 100 academic papers and six books on BIM. His current research focuses on Deep Learning and Cognitive Digital Twins for healthcare facilities management, as well as AI-driven point cloud classifications in heritage BIM.
